Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Turnaround Scheduler located in El Segundo, CA through September 23, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Overview:
The Senior Turnaround scheduler applies advanced plant operational knowledge, technical principals, specialized techniques and knowledge of all related disciplines to ensure effective schedule development through appropriate sequencing and prioritization of work. The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the refineries Primavera scheduling best practices in accordance with standards developed by the Chevron business improvement network for turnaround planning and scheduling.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
→ Developing realistic schedules of consistent high quality with predictable outcomes that meet business objectives and comply      with Chevron standards
→ Reviews turnaround estimates for accuracy against work instructions.
→ Updates schedules during turnaround execution. Performs proactive schedule analysis during execution periods. Develops schedule reports and proactively analyzes schedules for change in scope.
→ Applies the IMPACT process with rigor and reinforces quality at all milestones to ensure optimum readiness for pre-TA activities and execution.
→ Manages planning and reporting on multiple turnarounds.
→ Applies the IMPACT process with rigor and reinforces quality at all milestones to ensure optimum readiness for pre-TA activities and execution.
→ Trains and develops others on Scheduling best practices in accordance with Chevron standards. 
Required Qualifications:
→ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
→ 5 years of oil refinery experience in the role of turnaround Scheduler .
→ 5 years of oil refinery experience working directly with engineers, craftsmen, operations and contractors.
→ Demonstrate familiarity within the oil refinery industry, corporate standards and best practices.
→ Proficient oral, presentation and written communication skills.
→ Promotes and champions safety policies and procedures (OSHA and EPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
→ Working knowledge of Chevron IMPACT Planning processes and scheduling best practices.
→ Working knowledge of the Chevron MAXIMO database.
→ Working knowledge of the Chevron turnaround planning tool/worklist.
→ Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
