Established in 1948, Chevron (Thailand) Ltd. has been serving retail and commercial customers in Thailand for over a half a century through its Caltex brand. The company has a nationwide network of approximately 400 retail outlets. It distributes various fuels, including premium and regular gasohol, unleaded gasoline and diesel. Additionally, the company markets and distributes an extensive range of quality lubricants, including automotive engine oil and industrial lubricants.

 

Chevron (Thailand) Ltd is accepting online applications for the position of Collection Cashier located in Bangkok, Thailand through September 18, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

 

Collection Processes

 

  • Validates payments received from customers against payment evidences and record the transactions into the system
  • Monitors and processes auto-collection process by coordinating with internal and external related parties to ensure the successful of auto-collection process
  • Issues and sends official receipt to customers
  • Coordinates with concerned parties e.g. Credit Analysts, Business Consultants, Customer Services, etc., to resolve disputed collection items. Ensures that the disputed collections are recorded into the system completely and timely. Controls re-debiting time only within threshold
  • Performs reconciliation of related bank and G/L accounts before closing deposit report and ensure that all payment receipts is deposited into bank account completely
  • Consolidates collection figures of other locations e.g. depots, terminals, etc., into required format file and send to related parties e.g. partner bank for fund transfer, etc.
  • Resolves issues relating to the collection process by coordinating with internal and external related parties with considering the internal process and work compliance

 

Bank Statement and General Ledgers

 

  • Monitors and downloads bank statement for source of recording payment receipt and for evidence of payment receipt
  • Performs reconciliation of related bank and G/L accounts before closing deposit report and ensure that all payment receipts is deposited into bank account completely
  • Prepares miscellaneous adjustment entries relating to Collection process

 

Other job scopes

 

  • Supports internal and external parties relating to Collection Processes and keep updating related materials or manual
  • Summarizes charges relating to collection process e.g. Direct Debit fee, penalty from disputed transaction and other relevant charges. Submits the summarized charges to Credit for charging to customer
  • Supports internal and external parties to resolve issues relating to collection and coordinate with BUs and customer to clear outstanding transactions
  • Other assignments to be assigned by supervisor including supporting special projects and initiatives

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience as being a cashier position preferably in the oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, financial and banking industries
  • Computer literacy in Ms. Excel and SAP (in the function of Cash & Banking, FI AR and relevants) 
  • Good English communication skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading) at least 550 TOEIC score
  • Ability to synthesize information, identify problem and implement corrective actions with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in flexible hours
