Technical Quality QA - QC Manager - Job Description


Description
The individual will be responsible for ensuring all work is compliant with statutory regulations, industry best practice, internal policies and safe methods of working.


Working closely with the operational managers and operatives to ensure a structured approach is taken to compliance, delivering effective processes and procedures to maintain acceptable levels of assurance and to deliver an excellent quality service for our customers.


This will involve providing timely updates to processes and procedures ahead of changes from industry bodies and codes of practice. This role will also assist with identifying trends from audits and incidents, while working in partnership with operational managers and the Training Department to set the correct level of training content to maintain competence.

Duties:

  • Developing, implementing and managing the companies quality compliance ensuring it is in line with best practice,
  • Ensuring that effective compliance is implemented across the Americas including developing processes and procedures, identifying any gaps and advising on the organizations competence's and processes that improve the quality of the products and services delivered.
  • Carry out audits, monitor and report compliance and quality of workmanship.
  • Supporting the operational teams in delivering contractual service levels, within the constraints of statutory regulations and industry standards.
  • Utilize learning from audits and visits to identify areas for improvement within operations improving productivity and reducing QA - QC incident rates.
  • Supporting the business in the management of industry accreditations
  • Supporting the business in the development of quality systems of work, equipment selection and approval, and quality incident investigation.
  • Ensure the business keeps abreast of changes in the industry within sphere of control
  • Produce procedures, bulletins and tool box talks as required highlighting clearly defined working practices and improvements related to Quality QA/QC.
  • Represent the business at industry forums
  • Proactively work with all teams to ensure industry QA - QC standards are constantly upheld.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical compliance and or Management role within the oil & gas industry. Fully conversant with technical standards and regulations.
  • Industry current Qualifications or able to acquire with minimal effort
