Job Description

Shell is looking for a Sales Engineer - Storage Development for our San Francisco, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure front of the meter energy storage contracts; develop opportunities through execution including negotiation of all major agreements (e.g. revenue contract, definitive documents)
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with storage developers and customers (primarily utility)
  • Lead development, own the preparation and delivery of competitive offerings and proposals
  • Analytics: project analysis (analyze value/feasibility of deploying energy storage)
  • Assist with strategic opportunity identification: investment/acquisition of flexible capacity development capabilities in U.S. Help originate deal flow via developer partners and greenfield activity

  • Strong understanding of technical and commercial aspects of energy storage deals. Fluency in modeling storage use cases & value drivers, especially those geared toward FTM storage deals (flexible capacity & non-wires alternatives)
  • Experience in sourcing, building, and managing strong industry and customer relationships
  • Deep understanding of bulk energy storage competitive landscape
  • Assertive, able to cope with dynamic surroundings, a team player, prepared to travel
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership and focus regarding all tasks and deliverables related to deal closing
  • Experience originating, negotiating, closing and developing energy storage deals a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of energy sector experience required, at least three years in energy storage space
