Job Purpose

 

  • The Crane Inspector Mechanic is to cost effectively manage the inspection , repair and the support of the Crane selection, Rigging Operations and related operations for all EnerMech business lines, to meet customer and EnerMech specifications

 

Main Qualifications and Experience

 

 

  • Chartered Status
  • Braden certification
  • Seatrax crane experience
  • UKOAA medical
  • Offshore pedestal crane Call out mechanic/operator
  • Stage 3 operator a plus
  • Shell OPS0055 qualified
  • Strong hydraulic background desired
  • Valid inspector certification under API RP 2D regulations
  • Areas of expertise, Seatrax, SeaKing, Nautilus and Energy Cranes
  • NCCCO certification a plus
  • Ability to travel international

 

  • NCCCO Certified Crane Operator preferred
  • 5+ years of crane operation experience
  • Be able to read, understand and use crane load charts to determine load and radius capabilities of cranes
  • Have general knowledge of construction rigging - use of slings, cable chokers, spreader bars, multi-part load blocks, etc.
  • Be capable of successfully passing a crane operations certification test
  • Ability to operate other types of heavy equipment like: excavator, dozer, man lift, fork life, backhoe and skid steer
  • Knowledge of rigging standards

 

 

 

  • Ensure proper control and utilization of material resources in the section
  • Control utilization of cranes in the yards
  • Control utilization of barges, tug boats and floating cranes
  • Study lifting requirements
  • Assist in docking & undocking of vessels
  • Review the production work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Look after the welfare of his co-workers
  • Ensure the discipline of his co-workers
  • Ensure the safety of his co-workers
  • Deploy and utilize manpower effectively
  • Carry out tasking of work to his subordinates
  • Control and manage sub-contractors and their workers
  • Assist in the career development and training of personnel
  • Plan work schedules and ensure work completion through meetings, discussions and progress report in line with manager's work schedule
