We need a visible leader to keep our major rotating equipment team on track. With strong support from a positive employer, it's a great chance to develop your skills at one of Europe's biggest petro-chemical sites.
What's the role?
Shell's downstream manufacturing site at Pernis, Rotterdam is a joint oil refinery and chemicals manufacturing site that produces a broad range of everyday products ranging from paint to petrol. We care about being a good employer and a considerate neighbour so we run the site as progressively as possible. If you want to contribute to improving safety, reliability, environmental performance and operating costs, this is a great place to develop your technical and personal skills.
In this wide-ranging, multi-disciplinary role, you'll be part of our major rotating equipment (MRE) team, who take care of the maintenance of a huge variety of large rotating equipment; this includes gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, e-motors, gearboxes, piston compressors and centrifugal compressors.
As a supervisor, you'll supervise a team including planners, field coordinators and contractors through all phases of the maintenance process. You can expect to be managing budgets, scoping projects, optimising working processes and ensuring work hits the high standards we expect in terms of design, quality, cost and Health and Safety.
You'll need to be a visible leader, especially in the field - someone who's always eager to know how work is progressing and what needs to be done. You'll also use your natural people skills, both to support and inspire your team and to cultivate good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the site.

- Proven experience of maintenance activities and processes in refinery and/or chemistry.
- Ideally, knowledge of gas and steam turbines.
