JOB SUMMARY

Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces and/or equipment on the rig as assigned/directed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ year experience as a Painter
  • Offshore experience considered an asset
  • Basic Survival Training (BST)
  • H2S Alive
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry
  • CAPP Medical
  • Must pass Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and clean surfaces prior to priming and painting.
  • Remove old paint and rust spots from surface using pneumatic tools, scraper, grinder and buffers
  • Paint prepared surfaces as directed; i.e. apply coats of primer, paint, and varnish with rollers and spray guns in accordance with painting specifications
  • Sweep and wash decks, bulkheads, and structures using brooms, mops, rags, brushes, air, and high-pressure water hoses 
  • Other duties as required
