We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Tax Accountant to join our team.

The Assistant Tax Accountant will primarily be responsible for providing direct and indirect tax services for the UK group entities but may also have responsibilities for direct and indirect taxes in relation to other group entities based overseas. All relevant training will be provided. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate looking for a long-term career in tax.
Main responsibilities
Corporate Tax - UK & international
Provide Corporate Tax advice and deal with all ancillary queries raised both internally and by external authorities
•Assist in preparation of UK group tax returns and liaison with tax authorities, ensuring that all relevant tax payments are made on a timely basis
•Prepare or assist in preparation of overseas tax returns as required - may include work on Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and Indian returns.
•Assistance in preparation of tax provisions for audit purposes and all associated tax accounting work.
•Manage relationships with tax authorities, professional associations and external tax advisers
•Ensure statutory and tax compliance for the Group in all financial matters.
•Preparation &/or review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all relevant taxes
VAT - UK & International
Assist in preparation of various overseas VAT/GST filings including but not limited to UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, UAE and India.
Other duties
•Assist in preparation of global transfer pricing documentation and annual R&D reports as required.

•Assist in contract review processTax accounting experience preferred but not essential.

•Ability to focus on priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.

•Comfortable working under pressure, not showing frustration or losing composure when facing resistance.

•Confidence and drive to succeed coupled with the ability tobe diplomatic and tactful.

•Culturally aware.

•High levels of confidentiality.

•Excellent communication skills (both written andverbal).

•Ability to analyse data and produce management reports.

•Proficient in the use of spreadsheet, database and the Microsoft suite of packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
Qualifications & Experience

Finance related Degree or HND Qualification
