Position Overview: Oversees jobs in the field requiring hands-on knowledge of cement, frac, and acid operations. This is a safety sensitive position.

Reports to: Area Manager

Directs Reports: Field Service Supervisors, and may directly oversee Equipment Operators and Drivers

Major duties:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the operation of the equipment in the field including services performed, downhole elements, and technical books
  • Manages multiple sites and travels into the field to review work being conducted and provide oversight
  • Schedules jobs and employees and coordinates between field and yard employees
  • Responsible for job pricing and customer relations in the field
  • Promotes the sale of services, including calling on customers and potential customers
  • Creates pricing proposals
  • Monitors crew members development and performance, making recommendations for promotion, demotion, pay adjustments and termination of employment as warranted
  • Enforces safety in accordance with the Basics to Success (BTS) guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Approves daily work tickets, price tickets and approves DOT logs, reviews JSAs and MEDS cards
  • Reviews other reports related to payroll, company credit card purchases by direct reports, crew expenses, and vehicle reports
  • Steps in to operate equipment as necessary
  • May be required to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

 

Required:

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in oil and gas industry
  • Written and oral communication to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Valid driver license

 

Preferred:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Basic computer skills
  • Class A CDL

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Long periods of standing
  • Driving a pick up to and from location; requires sitting for long periods of time
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs
  • Manual manipulation of valves and tools from a squatting position, often low to the ground
  • Overall good physical condition required
  • Applicants must be able to pass a Work Steps physical fitness test

 

Typical working conditions and hazards:

  • Significant amount of required driving time
  • Work is performed in all weather conditions
  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required
  • Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery
  • Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
