Job Location:  ASWAN, EGYPT

Job type/Contract:  Temporary, starts 15th of September 2018 - ends 30th of April 2019

Hours/rotation:  Rotation of 91 days on site and 15 days off, (+2 days travelling paid)

Job summary/Role description

CMS executes the activities pertaining to the pre-commissioning and commissioning of the Plant.

CMS operates in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the machineries according to the instructions of Commissioning Machinery Superintendent;
  • To field check the DAC and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list, following the CME instructions;
  • Expediting closing of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (COT) priorities; Monitor and ensure the activities are carried out in accordance with the procedures and requirements;
  • Ensure all safety rules are in force and are followed in field;
  • Supervise the works of vendors' specialists and ensure their efficient utilization;
  • To organize and manage the operations in field of the assigned team from the Sub Contractor by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in case of emergency;
  • Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors;
  • Supervise the works of vendors' specialists and ensure their efficient utilization;
  • To keep records of all activities performed in the log book;
  • To produce the certificates, duly signed by the involved parties, and handover to certification engineer (QA/QC);
  • Responsible for ongoing maintenance (planned and corrective maintenance on Plant Units already in Operation) in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (COT) and Commissioning Machinery Superintendent (CMT) priorities;
  • Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure

 

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

Previous relevant experience with ammonia and urea plant covered on commissioning activities.

 

Desirable

Suitable University Degree.

 

Experience

At least five (5) year experience in a similar position in EPC Oil & Gas projects (gas pipelines beneficial);

Experience with machinery and commissioning equipment.

 

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;

Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution;
