Position - Foreman/Senior Pumper
Recent acquisitions of additional oil properties is prompting the company to hire an experienced Foreman/Sr. Pumper to oversee operations in the area around Guymon, Oklahoma and eastern Colorado near Cheyenne Wells. The Foreman/Sr. Pumper's duties are to carry out the safe, environmentally friendly and cost efficient well, battery and lease production operations. The candidate will implement well, lease & battery operations & maintenance properly and in a timely manner, and will record and input accurate and thorough oil, gas and water production data. The Foreman/Sr. Pumper is expected to possess the operational skills and expertise to identify production improvement opportunities, maximize oil & gas production online times while rectifying and minimizing equipment failures and environmental impact. 15 years' experience with rod pump and plunger lift required. Downhole well diagnosis and pulling unit oversight expertise preferred.
Practice safe driving habits to and from leases on all surfaces. Lead by example. Follow all Company safety rules and procedures, practice safe work habits, PPE/H2S monitoring are required. Observe and report any safety issues.
Perform pumping/operator skills to maximize production volumes and develop lease efficiency, reduce direct lease expenses and prevent spills. Report all spills. Keep locations and batteries clean. Visually inspect and observe defensive/alarm systems. Observe, inspect and assure equipment operation. Take the lead in well problem and failure diagnosis and correction.
Ensure accurate and timely production reporting. Responsible for all lease/well production as well as timely, accurate and complete input of the lease/well production data reporting.
Observe, correct and report. Check for leaks and spills around facilities and wells. Make sure all head switches and tanks are operating correctly. Check level controllers and manually dump to assure vessel operation. Visually inspect pumping units, facilities and other equipment and listen for unusual sounds or vibrations. Check chemical pumps and pressure gauges. Identify weaknesses and problems before they present themselves.
Work closely with management/engineering to achieve lease area maximum production efficiency, well performance and facility operations. Maintain/repair all types of production equipment, pumps, valves, treater dump valves, gas regulators, etc. Diagnose, identify and correct problems.
Willingness to apply experience, best practices and lessons learned to maximize lease performance. Be willing to take direction, correction and expend energy to correct deficiencies and develop skills. Be willing to communicate and display a desire to learn.
Listen and take responsibility for well performance, personal performance and development of skills. Give timely, specific, and meaningful feedback to management concerning lease operation, wellwork, production problems, issues or observations.
