Plains has immediate openings for Pipeliners to work out of the  Snyder, Texas location supporting the Colorado City Pipeline District.  This position will perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on specific pipeline assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in routine and non-routine maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of station, pipeline, and terminal facilities.
  • Clean and maintain pipeline right-of-ways.
  • Assist in pipeline repairs including ILI verification digs, pipeline change outs, re-coats, etc.
  • Assists with DOT required inspections.
  • Ensure Plains safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assist in 24/7 Emergency Response .
  • Assist in pipeline construction and maintenance .
  • Act as relief for Station Operators as requested.
  • Locate and mark pipelines with locator and respond to "one call" system.
  • Assists with any other pipeline related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years petroleum industry experience is preferred
  • Ability to speak read and write English
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps and drawings
  • Basic computer skills:  Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, etc.
  • Ability to successfully complete company Haz-Mat training, required DOT operator qualifications to perform pipeline mechanical operations and mandatory safety training
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in moderate to heavy physically demanding working conditions, including working outdoors in an open environment with extremes of heat and cold
  • Must have an outstanding safety record
  • Ability to work in team environment
