Commissioning & Start Up Engineer (Mechanical & Piping) My client, a leading EPC company, is looking for a number of Commissioning & Startup Engineers for one of their major Client projects in Lake Charles. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Support all aspects of mechanical & piping commissioning and start-up of a major Client facility. Assist Commissioning Manager in developing commissioning and project completion schedules, working closely with project scheduling and construction teams. Execute commissioning, and start-up activities as required by the execution plan. Responsible for operating within Project/Client, local, state and federal environmental policies, regulations and procedures. Coordinate operational activities with other disciplines and departments at the Project. Facilitate effective communications to inform team members of changing conditions, support requirements, etc. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications / Skills Engineering Degree or time served experience. Minimum 10 years' experience in facilities construction, commissioning and startup of Liquified Natural Gas (Client) facilities Minimum 15 years of experience in the Petrochemical Industry with emphasis on Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup and Operations. A sound knowledge of Client operations, commissioning and start-up practices, procedures, systems Previous SIMOPS experience on Major Client projects. Able to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers Experience in home office for systemization, design reviews, procedure and/or manual development Standard MS Office software (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio). Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
