Reports to: Sales Manager


General Accountability:


The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing new business in the Midcontinent region as well as any Western Hemisphere opportunities.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Development of key corporate accounts for multiple product lines including surfacing logging, coring and Well Intervention;
  • Routine sales management of key corporate accounts;
  • Budgeting;
  • Develop target lists of potential new business clients in the defined territory;
  • Relate, in a positive and productive manner, the services available at Reservoir Group to existing and potential clients;
  • Plan, coordinate and carry out a series of contacts with qualified clients in order to increase business;
  • Perform sales and cold calls, as required, to meet business development goals;
  • Supply the client with requested information on all aspects of Reservoir Group operations, both general services and specific technical information;
  • Assist in the communications between Reservoir Group and the clients, through follow up on pricing, billing, and technical issues;
  • Effective use of time management to maximize sales, customer service and efficiency;
  • Assist team with scheduling and day-to-day planning activities;
  • Provide quotations and pricing and give input on proposals to senior staff; follow up on these quotations and proposals to track successes and failures;
  • Keep in constant contact with the market-place and report back to Operations;
  • Supply management with contact reports, weekly reports, and monthly sales plans;
  • Utilize CRM program to its full capacity;
  • Participate in weekly operational & sales meetings; present weekly sales report;
  • Assist in the production of sales brochures, price lists, and any other material required to improve the effectiveness of the sales force;
  • Assist in arranging Reservoir Group seminars and workshops for clients in Oklahoma;
  • Attend and represent Reservoir Group at tradeshows and conferences;
  • Lead and organize client events, seminars and presentations;
  • Write proposals and quotes as required;
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant environmental criteria and guidelines;
  • Maintain knowledge of surface logging, drilling services and production solution capabilities and service offerings;
  • Assist as needed in international sales with RFP's, equipment sales, strategic planning and market analysis;
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all Reservoir Group health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Assist onshore sales with key relationships and contacts;
  • Participate in client appreciation events and industry seminars/conferences;
  • Track public RFP's;
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all Reservoir Group health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires a person to sit up to 8 hours per day;
  • Ability to spend 80% of your time travelling;
  • This position will require work outside of regular work hours.

About you


The ideal candidate would have:

  • College or technical Diploma in related field preferred;
  • Experience with sales and customer service;
  • Valid, clear driver's license and use of own vehicle for travelling;
  • 2 years of experience in business development and sales.

  • Energetic and dynamic;
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills;
  • Strong customer service background;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication;
  • Comfortable with public speaking.
