POSITION TITLE:  Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer

LOCATION: Cameron, LA

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client is headquartered in Houston with several facilities in the US, operating in various aspects of the LNG industry. They are currently growing their plant technical team in Cameron, LA and looking to hire a Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer their team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer

  • Support the lead engineer over projects and reliability of the mechanical static equipment within the facility
  • Cover engineering support, maintenance of the equipment, and capital projects related to the mechanical equipment
  • Work closely with maintenance and operations providing technical guidance and support
  • Create and design project design scopes and work on existing equipment reliability
  • Work with leadership team to create budgets, schedules, and work scopes
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on static equipment at the facility

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in a petrochemical plant setting; LNG, NGL, cryogenic processing, or hydrocarbon processing preferred  
  • Strong knowledge of various static equipment; boilers, furnaces, heat exchangers, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Management of Change processes (MOC), incident investigation, PSSR's,  and field troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of STD codes is a must
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Current TWIC card
