Under close supervision, performs manual and clerical duties to assist within the receiving area. Daily routing of materials, supplies, and equipment to stock areas is required. Complete routine paperwork and documentation as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads customer order, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. (3%)
- Manually lift and remove materials from trucks while verifying box or material counts of that material. (2%)
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. (7%)
- Label incoming items with the lot number and part number and ensure the material certificate matches if applicable. (7%)
- Transfer materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. (7%)
- Drives company vehicle, operates hydraulic lift and forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment. (15%)
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined part-number sequence. (7%)
- Open bales, crates, and other containers. (7%)
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. (7%)
- Communicate and interact with delivery drivers and outside vendors. (3%)
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. (2%)
- Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers. (1%)
- Use Oracle database to enter records. (7%)
- Completes requisition forms to order supplies as needed. (1%)
- Maintain inventory records and the Vendor Maintenance Form. (2%)
- Examines incoming shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. (7%)
- Communicate work instructions to outside vendors for further processing. (15%)
- Performs other cross functional duties within other departments as the need arises.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. One year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Applicant must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Applicant must possess the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Employee will be exposed to a manufacturing environment that includes, but is not limited to, metal cutting and machining equipment, cutting fluids, metal shavings and oils.
