Position Summary:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for identifying appropriate tag requirements for all incoming and outgoing parts and material, ensuring product meets Quality Standards, ensuring proper computerized data entry of such parts, and timely delivery of parts to the proper location.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine appropriate tag requirements for all incoming/outgoing parts and material
  • Ensure all metal orders conform to API specifications and required paperwork is dispersed to assigned parties
  • Receive stock, project and non-billable material purchases into the computerized inventory management system
  • Identify rush shipments and process material accordingly
  • Contact vendors and retrieve paperwork for any items that were delivered without the required paperwork
  • Safe operation of forklift
  • Arrange rail, air, and road transportation of materials; calculate transportation costs and prepare transportation documents (MTF, custom documents for import and export of materials) including picking lists and Sales Orders as required
  • All shipping duties related to post construction rig moves
  • Maintain filing system of all transportation documents and material transfer forms
  • Participate in all cycle and annual inventory counts
  • Be available for Saturday shift when assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Follow all applicable quality system procedures and quality work instructions
  • Comply with all industry, and government-mandated practices, protocols and procedures as applicable
  • Ensure that your actions do not create hazards to yourself, other workers, or members of the public
  • Report all near misses, hazards, incidents, accidents, occupational illnesses and injuries immediately to a supervisor or HSE representative through proper procedure
  • Attendance and participation in all applicable company safety meetings and training programs is mandatory
  • Know the location, type, and method of operation of emergency response equipment
  • Ensure the maintenance and good condition of tools, equipment and personal protective equipment prior to use
  • 100% compliance with No-smoking, housekeeping, company speed limits, Personal Protective Equipment, maintenance policies and applicable safe work practices
  • 100% compliance with personal protective equipment when visiting shops, yards and other areas where PPE is required
  • Do not exceed the physical demands of your job description, the company provides enough engineered and administrative hazard controls to perform any task safely

 

Physical Demands:

  • Able to sit or stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50-75 lbs. on a continuous basis throughout the work day

Education and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills
  • Excellent filing skills
  • Strong computer skills; specifically, with MS Office products- Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to pay attention to many details in a fast paced environment
  • Solid communication and customer service skills
  • Familiar with basic shipping and receiving activities at an oilfield yard location
  • Forklift certification and Valid Driver's License
