Provides support to manufacturing departments to coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain, repair, service, identify, overhaul or replace defective parts, for the highest quality and longest life of assigned equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical installations of new machines and equipment. Move and/or arrange machines and equipment for maximum utilization and safety.
  • Ensure assigned equipment is in accordance with manufacturer's standards and company specifications.
  • Make preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment. Report to supervisor and take appropriate action.
  • Assist and direct service personnel such as lift operator, truck drivers, welders, in standard operating procedures and requirements.
  • Read and comprehend Schematics and Mechanical drawings. Research vendors for best solution of replacement parts and/or outside vendor support.

  • Perform Preventive maintenance including grease, oil, change filters and belts or other usable items.
  • May operate equipment during relief periods and while troubleshooting equipment.

The Sr. Machine Maintenance Technician will be required to have a High school degree and equivalent work experience. 15 years experience in a manufacturing work environment. Position requires experience and training for Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical Wiring along with knowledge of NEC codes. Knowledge of ladder logic, Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls is required. Capabilities must be demonstrated in the use of electrical and mechanical test equipment.


The Sr. Machine Maintenance Technician is required to have the ability to read, comprehend, and delegate complex instructions and procedures. Also, required is the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group. Position requires updating and maintaining maintenance records.


The Sr. Machine Maintenance Technician will need the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. A good working knowledge of geometric and precision measuring tools is required.


The Sr. Machine Maintenance Technician must demonstrate the technical aptitude for solving mechanical problems while providing and/or understanding detailed written or oral instructions while dealing with multiple complex equipment system problems.


Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required and must pass an ATF background check.
