Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews / analyzes data and documentation. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains database of approved in-house methods and coordinates distribution of current, approved methods. Organize ruggedness testing of in-house methods to ensure applicability of method.
Monitors industry developments within the testing of products, standard reference criteria, stability, etc. and disseminate technical information to the laboratories.
Monitors the development of analytical equipment within the industry and disseminates technical information to the laboratories.
Oversees the development of Technical Bulletins, exchange of knowledge, lab capabilities and product information.
Prepares and maintains Test Method Summaries.
Develops and maintains a system to simplify the review and summary of revisions to test methods.
Assists in the maintenance of the quality management system by reviewing, revising and distributing updates to the quality manuals.
Provides annual status report data for the quality assurance program in support of the annual Management Review Meetings.
Provides training on the quality management system for laboratory staff at minimum when requested by location / area managers.
Domestic and international travel is required ~ 20% annually.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and 5-8 years of direct experience in the field.
Have beginner-to-intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
