Amega West Services is a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation based in Houston, Texas.  Amega West is a leading manufacturer of high-precision complex components for measurement while drilling (MWD) and logging while drilling (LWD), drill collars, stabilizers and other down-hole tools that have been used for directional oil and gas drilling. SERVICE MANAGER - Western Pennsylvania location

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:  Responsible for overall direction, control and management of repair shop activities in support of operations while working in accordance with Amega West HSE procedures.  Responsible for insuring proper staffing of shop to meet customer demands.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Manage day to day shop activities in support of operations
  • Responsible for insuring sufficient inventories are on hand.
  • Set up measuring procedures and work station for parts.
  • Maintain all databases involved in tracking individual tool performance.
  • Responsible for developing failure report responses to operations
  • Manage shop logistics and shipping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  4-years technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years working experience within a supervisory level of repair and maintenance of down-hole drilling tools.  Experience with logistics a plus.
  • Good financial and budgeting skills.
  • Strong management, leadership and results orientation skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and excel in planning and organization skills.
  • Requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively deal with employees and customers.
  • Ability to adjust to changing schedules/deadlines due to customer priorities.
