Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following:
¿ Ensuring that Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and expectations are fully implemented with Regional Operations and compliant with local regulations
¿ Developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to grow target markets and accounts
¿ Leading the business toward continued growth and success in the region
¿ Contributing to and successfully executing long term strategic plans and continued profitable growth in the region
¿ Planning and successfully executing regional annual business plans
¿ Recommending appropriate staffing and resources to meet Client demands in the region, including growth areas (e.g. remote parts of the area of responsibility)
¿ Contributing to business planning and development in all parts of the region
¿ Being accountable for regional contributions to P&L performance
¿ Determining capital investment needs and expansion strategies for the region
¿ Maintaining top standards for technical and business performance
¿ Ensuring the continued strength of the company’s Culture and Core Values; holding employees accountable for commitments
¿ Ensuring the company’s business risk is understood and managed at all times
¿ Mentoring employees - assisting, encouraging and promoting their development and growth within the company.
Providing training and advice and conducting and supporting internal training courses
¿ Helping to ensure a positive work experience for all employees
¿ Conducting performance reviews, communicating with employees, conducting staff meetings, helping to coordinate business and personal priorities, advocating promotions where appropriate and encouraging a team philosophy that invites active, broad participation
¿ Being an active, contributing member of the local company Management Teams, as well as a promoter of the One Oceaneering efforts in the region
¿ Administering and executing company policies and procedures
¿ Regional Unit Management:
o Providing accurate monthly safety statistics to Houston
o Preparing and contributing to FLASH updates
o Assuring training is provided for all employees
o Participating in Annual Planning Cycle
o Developing and maintaining MBOs
o Developing and maintaining Annual Goals for bonus employees
o Being actively involved with the company’s QMS policies
o Providing monthly metrics for the business
o Maintaining relevant ISO certifications in the region
¿ Meeting with Clients to secure business, develop business relationships and provide knowledge for applications and projects
¿ Working extensively with Internal Sales and Operations Groups to prepare Client proposals, quotations, drawings and product delivery schedules to meet customer requirements
¿ Directing required follow-up activities with Internal Sales, Engineering and Operations Groups to meet customer requirements
¿ Meeting with clients, assisting company sales personnel, independent sales agents and distributors in negotiating and confirming contractual issues
¿ Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate the group goals
¿ Reviewing market conditions to determine customer needs, price schedules and appropriate discount rates
¿ Delivering sales presentations to Clients independently and in coordination with company sales personnel, sales agents and distributors
¿ Communicating professionally and courteously with customers during bid preparation and clarification processes
¿ Coordinating and closely interfacing with the Americas management
¿ Actively supporting Continuous Improvement efforts to ensure the business and technical practices remain highly competitive
¿ Leading critical Lessons Learned activities to ensure continuous improvement
¿ Representing the company at trade association meetings, shows and technical conferences to promote products and services
¿ Regularly travelling to sites both within Australia and worldwide

¿ Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
¿ Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and
¿ Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications and Training
¿ Bachelor’s degree (4 years) plus 5 years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
¿ Formal Management training (desirable)
¿ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Required Skills and Aptitudes
¿ Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
¿ Ability to clearly convey information and ideas to individuals or groups
¿ Ability to prioritise work in response to company activities/demands
¿ Knowledge of MS Project, Word and Excel
¿ Familiarity with database software, internet software and manufacturing software
¿ Ability to lead a high-performance technical organisation, to work well with matrixed support organisations to organise for effective and efficient execution and to ensure outstanding overall performance.
¿ Ability to establish and maintain close integration and teamwork with other business groups
