Overview / Responsibilities

The Nuclear division of Wood (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler) is seeking to recruit a Coordinator to work in the Learning & Development specialism within the People and Organisation function. This is a primarily administrative role so no experience of L&D is required at the outset, however the role offers potential development opportunities for a fully-fledged career in L&D.

Core responsibilities of the role are :-

  • Maintain complex records accurately, for example tracking and cross-checking training requests with course bookings
  • Work within short deadlines, managing multiple priorities
  • Keep up to date records and provide timely reports, for example course attendance records
  • Monitor and reconcile budget figures, tracking actual spend against forecast
  • Communicate effectively with different stakeholders, both within Wood and outside

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Ability to be very organised to keep track of complex records
  • Confident in verbal and written communication
  • Positive, energetic, keen-to-help attitude
  • Comfortable working in a team and alone
  • Ability to follow instructions and organise yourself to complete tasks fully and on time
  • Motivated to succeed and career-orientated
  • An enquiring mind, asking questions and suggesting improvements where appropriate
  • Some of the record keeping will involve large amounts of repetitive data, so the ability to maintain focus and check for accuracy will be vital
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel would be an advantage
