Temp to hire employment conversion opportunity for Piping Designers of all levels to support our clients oil and gas projects.
The Piping Designers will complete OIL & GAS design assignments for our client's Permian Basin clients utilizing 2D and 3D CAD methods, including AutoCAD Plant 3D.

The Piping Designers must have the following - we are looking for all levels of designers with oil & gas project experience:
2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred
All piping designers must have Piping Design experience in the OIL & GAS Industry
AutoCAD Plant 3D expertise is a MUST.
0-5+ years of relevant experience with 2D and 3D design of oil & gas facilities FOR JUNIOR LEVEL CANDIDATES
5-10+ years of relevant experience with 2D and 3D design of oil & gas facilities FOR MID LEVEL CANDIDATES
10-15+ years of relevant experience with 2D and 3D design of oil & gas facilities FOR SENIOR LEVEL CANDIDATES

For Senior and Principal Level Piping Designers
Need to see either an 8+ year tenure or at least 2 stints of over 5 year tenure at any previous companies.
Job leadership experience FOR SENIOR AND PRINCIPAL LEVEL
Requirements include strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.
Technical skills gained from education/training and experience over many years enable this level of Designer to work independently, mentor/guide others, frame projects, check and review work, and complete the most demanding design assignments. May serve as Lead Designer on a small to medium-sized projects.
The Principal Piping Designer/Design Advisor will help the staff and project management frame design projects from implementation and then provide guidance through job completion for multiple projects simultaneously. We envision this individual as being empowered to shape a design team to fit their desired structure as known to exist in the Permian Basin.
Performs front-end layout and detailed design of complex systems and equipment applicable to the respective discipline.
Ensures compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and client requirements.
Performs interdisciplinary reviews and provides coordination of data to ensure a compatible design.
Understands and applies commonly used company design standards and methods. May assist in the establishment or revision of guidelines and standards.
Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
Checks 2D and 3D drawings prepared by others. May provide direction to a team of checking personnel, ensuring the mathematical accuracy of the drawings produced.
Collaborates with Engineers and other engineering disciplines to ensure quality of design.
Assists in training lower-level Designers in various procedures.
May serve as Lead Designer on a project, ensuring compliance with industry codes, as well as project and company standards. May prepare manpower estimates, as required.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
