This Electrician position is located on a land rig within the continental Southern United States including, but not limited to, the states of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, New Mexico and Alabama. This is a labor-intensive position, and will require abilities such as:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

The work schedule for this position is twelve (12) hours shifts for fourteen (14) days on, and fourteen (14) days off. The position requires the ability to work overtime as required, as well as the willingness to travel. Other duties will include assisting crew members and supervisors as directed.

Candidates for the Electrician position would prefer at least an associate's degree in a technical and three (3) years of electrical repair and maintenance experience in the oil field; OR Bachelor's degree in related area and one (1) year of oil field electrical repair and maintenance experience. Applicants are subject to a Background Check. Candidates must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Physical and Drug Screening.
