Kintec Global is proud to recruit this role on behalf of a respected client in the energy fabrication sector. This role will see you join an emerging Houston owned and operated Fabricator with the opportunity to step into a key leadership position in a high-performing team focused on quality and operational excellence. • Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop while driving safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Direct and coordinate teams of welders, fitters, and fabrication technicians to complete work efficiently.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications to assign tasks and allocate materials.
• Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements (OSHA, API, ASME).
• Track production schedules closely and adjust priorities to ensure timely project delivery.
• Mentor, train, and assess team members to develop a high-performing, skilled workforce.
• Partner with Quality Control and Engineering to resolve quality issues and apply corrective measures.
• Track key performance data, maintain shift reports, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on supervisory experience in metal fabrication, heavy manufacturing, or pipe fabrication environments.
• Solid expertise in fabrication techniques including fitting, welding (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW), cutting, and finishing processes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and detailed technical drawings.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to uphold rigorous safety and quality standards.
• Familiarity with API/ASME codes and fabrication tolerances is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or associate degree preferred.

Work Environment Fast-paced industrial fabrication facility. Candidates must be comfortable standing and walking on the shop floor for extended periods while wearing required PPE (hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, etc.).
