Develop your passion

As a Weldment and Machining Drafter, you will be responsible for accurately drafting, marking out and preparing parts for machining. Your task will be to work with technical documentation, gauges and drafting tools to ensure that all components are prepared in accordance with production requirements.

You will work closely with machining, welding, technical preparation and quality to ensure that each part is correctly marked, measured and prepared for further operations.

As a Drafter you will:

 

  • Draw and mark dimensions on weldments and components according to drawing documentation
  • Work with high-precision measuring and drafting tools
  • Check dimensions and geometric tolerances before handing over for machining
  • Ensure correct part marking and preparation for further manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, machining and quality to resolve technical requirements
  • Pay attention to accuracy, diligence and adherence to technological procedures
  • Actively contribute to process improvement and error elimination

 


To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

 

 

  • Training in a technical field
  • Knowledge of reading drawing documentation
  • Manual dexterity and confidence in working with measuring instruments
  • High precision and care
  • Spatial imagination and technical thinking

 


The advantage will be

 

 

 

  • Knowledge of drawing and experience with preparing parts for machining
  • Experience in mechanical engineering production
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerances and measurement methods
