At Eni, we are looking for a Piping Engineer to join Shanghai Eni Engineering Consulting Ltd. in Shanghai, China. You will be responsible for the review and approval of piping system designs, layouts, and general arrangements, ensuring technical integrity and the achievement of project targets, best practices for safety, reliability, and cost. You will coordinate all piping and layout activities, including the review of piping stress analysis reports and material handling studies. You will also provide engineering input and support to construction activities, including yard activities.
The role will act as the focal point for all 3D model activities developed by the CONTRACTOR and will be responsible for the closure of all open tags raised during the 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the Contractor and subcontractors for all piping-related activities (topside and marine).
- Ensure the accuracy of machinery space, module general arrangements, and layouts.
- Provide specialist piping and layout engineering input to FLNG package activities through to execution completion.
- Monitor piping-related activities performed by the FLNG WP Contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers (e.g. 3D model reviews, piping classes, isometrics), ensuring compliance with the project schedule.
- Define and adopt appropriate piping mechanical engineering standards, considering environmental and logistical conditions.
- Oversee Contractor and subcontractor activities during design, procurement, and construction, ensuring compliance with contract and quality requirements.
- Ensure effective data and information exchange between Contractors and the Company, and review all piping and layout deliverables.
- Supervise the development and review of 3D models and follow up on related milestones and piping material procurement.
- Manage and respond to technical deviation and concession requests, coordinating the resolution of piping issues.
- Support construction teams during constructability workshops to optimise installation sequences while minimising cost and safety risks.
Skills and experience required:
- Specialist knowledge: Engineering expertise in the relevant discipline.
- Plant design: Mechanical design and piping design
- Construction & installation: Inspection, installation, offshore installation supervision, control system knowledge, and inspection, control, and testing techniques.
