Employment Type: Contract - 12 Months

Pay : $19 - $22/H

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our client's team in the manufacturing sector. In this role, you will contribute to disassembling, assembling, and testing various drilling equipment safely and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required assembly tasks with little or no supervision
  • Remove small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts
  • Use SAP R3 to pull prints, check labor hours on work orders, and pull and print bills of material
  • Plan assembly procedures following specifications
  • Clean and deburr materials
  • Drill and tap holes
  • Read and comprehend blueprints
  • Assist in rigging when necessary
  • Work in accordance with the work schedule set forth by the supervisor, which includes weekends and holidays when deemed necessary
  • Perform all tasks in the safest manner possible to ensure that there is no damage to equipment or personnel
  • Follow all HSE and Quality processes
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with drilling equipment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude required

Certifications 

  • Industry-recognized certifications in Fall Protection, Overhead Crane, and Forklift operation required

  • Steel-toed, lace-up boots required

  • Hard hat and safety glasses provided by employer

 

Preferred Skills / Essential Physical Demands

  • Ability to work safely at heights, including climbing ladders and scaffolding and maintaining balance on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to perform manual tasks involving hand tools, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and exerting up to 50 lbs of push/pull force
  • Adequate vision, depth perception, color recognition, hearing, and physical coordination to safely perform job tasks and operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license
