Key Responsibilities:
As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Act as the operations department EMS focal point, reports to Group Lead and maintains daily communications with assigned departments ops managers to provide key support, in regards of E&OH for field and office activities;
- Provide field support in regards of daily activities environmental impacts, environmental release events and E&OH audits/inspections;
- Review the annual environmental objectives and programs (action plans) proposed by UROE&CD with department management and signs off on department approved environmental objectives;
- Obtains monthly updates from department training coordinator to verify the department's environmental/ EMS compliance and reports deficiencies, if any, to the group lead;
- Reviews and reports new (or changes in) departmental processes and/or procedures that may have an environmental impact (adverse or beneficial) and may affect achievement of desired EMS outcomes to UROE&CD;
- Conduct EMS assessments, E&OH inspections (ECAs, OHHAs, CEHAs, RPAs, NORM surveys and EH surveys) as per schedules;
- Produce the non-compliance reports and communicate them to unit supervisor;
- Monitors the performance of Environmental emergency drill scenarios and follows up with any identified deficiencies;
- Monitor and reports the department daily activities environmental data and performance indicators on Flaring, SO2, Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), Water Conservation, Energy, etc; and
- Advice UR Operations on managing environmental risks and provide recommendations to mitigate impacts.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications As a successful candidate you will hold a:
- Bachelor degree in, Engineering, HSE, Science, Industrial, or in a related discipline from an accredited entity or equivalent. A Master's Degree in Environment is preferable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental compliance related to drilling and completion operations
- shall demonstrate/prove a high level of Environmental management skills with expertise in oil and gas or other related activities.
- Certified and/or have knowledge and field experience in Environmental management systems (preferably Internal/Lead audit certifications ISO 14001, other training certifications related to environmental sustainability, air mitigations, hazardous waste, GHG, water/wastewater management, NORM/ radioactive, spill control, noise control, and etc.)
- preferably to have demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands on environmental training and conducting of different environmental awareness sessions.
- preferably to have good knowledge of environmental concepts, international environmental standards, and industry related environmental standards, and research methods.
- Ability to write reports; ability to work with others and communicate technical concepts and ideas to non-technical personnel and the public; ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position; ability to use computer applications.
