Overview

Performance Energy is supporting a major offshore plug and abandonment (P&A) campaign in Australia, delivering slickline operations across a long-term project scope. We are seeking experienced Slickline Operators to join a high-performing offshore team, supporting well intervention and abandonment activities in a safety-critical environment.



Role Purpose

The Slickline Operator will be responsible for executing slickline operations, supporting well intervention and abandonment activities, and ensuring all work is delivered safely and efficiently in line with operational standards. This role combines hands-on operational delivery with strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical competency.



Key Responsibilities

  • Execute slickline operations in offshore P&A environments

  • Support well intervention and abandonment activities

  • Ensure all operations are conducted in line with Permit to Work systems

  • Maintain and operate slickline equipment safely and effectively

  • Contribute to operational reporting, documentation, and compliance

  • Uphold HSE standards and safe working practices at all times

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in slickline operations (offshore)

  • Strong understanding of well intervention and P&A activities

  • Experience working within safety-critical offshore environments

  • Ability to operate within structured Permit to Work systems



Preferred / Advantageous Background

  • Experience working on offshore Australian projects

  • Strong technical competency across slickline equipment

  • Ability to contribute to training and competency development

  • Experience in high-standard operational compliance environments



Certifications (Mandatory)

  • Valid driver's licence

  • Permit to Work (WPTW) certification

  • Australian working rights (mandatory)



Additional Certifications (Advantageous)

  • HR (Heavy Rigid) licence

  • High Risk Work Licences (Crane, Dogging, Rigging, EWP)

  • First Aid, CPR, Gas Testing

  • Confined Space & Fire Response
