Position Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Lead Variation Manager to take full ownership of all contract variation and claims management activities for major EPC offshore projects.
• This role is critical in driving project profitability and mitigating risks by managing the full lifecycle of variations-from identification and substantiation to negotiation and final agreement with the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end variation management process, including identification, preparation, submission, negotiation, and closure
• Analyze EPC contracts to identify valid variation opportunities (scope changes, unforeseen conditions, client-driven changes)
• Prepare and manage variation claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions in line with contractual requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams to quantify cost and schedule impacts
• Act as the lead negotiator for all variation-related discussions with the client
• Develop robust documentation and supporting evidence for claims and variations
• Provide regular reports to senior management on variation status, risks, and opportunities
• Guide and mentor commercial and project teams on best practices in variation and claims management

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, or related field
• Proven experience in variation management / claims management within large-scale EPC Oil & Gas projects
• Strong background working with international EPC contractors (e.g., TechnipFMC, McDermott, Saipem, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with major oil companies (e.g., Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, Total, BP) is highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of FIDIC and EPC contract structures
• Strong understanding of offshore project execution and commercial practices
