We're looking for an Automation Engineer to join a well-established engineering and design company in Rotterdam, delivering advanced automation solutions for complex offshore and marine systems.

 

This is a great opportunity to be involved in projects from concept design through to installation and commissioning, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.

 

?? The Role

• Support automation and control system design
• Develop System Requirements Specifications (SRS) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
• Design and configure PLC and HMI-based automation systems
• Manage interfaces between engineering disciplines
• Validate automation and control system designs
• Prepare and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
• Support site commissioning
• Contribute to quality assurance processes
• You will ideally have exposure to offshore or marine equipment.

 

? What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• 5+ years' experience in automation engineering
• Strong understanding of PLCs and HMIs
• Experience working with offshore or marine equipment
• Background in mechanical equipment automation rather than process manufacturing environments
