- As Lifting Authority, the Service holder will take the final technical decision in relation to standard lifting activities and operations.
- Close cooperation with CPLO, who is the reference for Lifting knowledge in the TEPA affiliate.
- Interact with other SLS (Site Lifting Specialist) on other sites (FPSO's, Sonils, project sites).
Activities
1. To promote safety culture within the project and his/her activities. Lead by exemplarity to have the team members and colleagues
adhering and contributing. To adopt & demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSEQ rules and requirements.
2. To ensure that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he/she is managing or interfacing with. To
guarantee the compliance on his activities.
3. To ensure that state of the art, TEPA referential and local rules/laws are complied with and captured in all contractual requirements.
4. To work by anticipation. To assess and to identify risks for the PBF activities and manage associated mitigation actions at his/her level.
5. With the spirit of One TOTALENERGIES values, to establish and manage his/her activities motivating his/her counterparts and to work
diligently to meet the targets of the projects.
6. To promote digitalization and innovation as far as compatible with good enough approach for all activities. To seek optimization and
savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs (3C initiatives) without impairing QHSE objectives.
7. To keep divisional Manager and all parties (as required) informed regarding ongoing activities status. To advise the Project Managers
on HSEQ related actions/decisions.
8. Promote safe handling & lifting operations referring to TOTALENERGIES HSE Policy (CR EP LSO 043), national and international standards.
9. Participate to Risk Assessments, hazard identification, categorization of lifts,
10. Does periodic review of generic lift plans
11. Asks the CPLO for approval for all critical lifting or handling operations
12. Prepare, conduct training sessions on "handling and lifting" for FPSO'S entities.
13. Participate to handling and lifting audits (TEPA and Contractors sites).
14. Report HIPO, incidents and anomalies and contribute to REX
15. Involve in Cause Tree Analysis process after incidents, commit to Action plans follow-up.
16. Develops and keeps up to date site lifting and handling procedures
17. Carries out post Service de-briefs.
18. Ensure the equipment inspection policy is applied on site
19. Supervise lifting operation on RSES request.
20. Provides technical assistance for lifting operations preparation with entities.
21. Advises workers on the selection of lifting equipment (cranes, forklifts), CCUs (containers, baskets, racks) and accessories (slings,
shackles, etc.) specifications.
22. Ensures equipment used for lifting operation are those defined on the lifting plan
23. Assists the CPLO during assessment of competence of the personnel to carry out lifting or handling operations
24. Coaches and mentor personnel involved in lifting and handling operations and particularly Angolese (part of angolanisation process).
25. Ensure toolbox talks are performed prior to the beginning of each working shift or when critical lifts are being carried out.
26. Assists the CPLO in the organization of the site lifting equipment (rigging loft, inspection, maintenance)
27. Issuance of weekly and monthly activity reports
Context and environment
Dalia LifeX consists of extending life of Dalia Asset by 20 years up to 2045.
• Position offshore, on rotational basis, with possibility to support other PBF projects on request.
• Challenging environment with FPSO ageing, cranes / lifting equipment conditions.
Accountabilities
- To ensure the safe performance of handling and lifting operations on FPSO's.
- The Service holder is responsible to ensure that major hazards associated with lifting operation are properly assessed, evaluated and
managed in accordance with relevant statutory, group and corporate requirements.
Qualifications/Experience required
- Exhaustive knowledge of International lifting standards and best practices (ASME, FME, DIN, NSL, etc )
- Technical knowledge of lifting equipment found offshore (offshore cranes, gantry cranes, forklifts, slings, etc...).
- Ability to prepare and check risks assessments, lifting plans for standard lifts
- Minimum 3 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level.
- Experience in Oil & Gas Industry is required (working in hazardous area, ATEX concept).
- Autonomy, Flexibility, Adaptability are mandatory (multicultural environment)
- Language: fluent English is mandatory, Portuguese, French is a plus.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Good writing skills (issuance of reports, audits, synthesis).
