Job Description

  • Manage and execute the different phases of field process start-up with different technologies: ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, nanofiltration and its pretreatment system, including process, maintenance, design, membrane fouling and chemical cleaning with practical experience in commissioning, operation and troubleshooting;
  • Decide on the design of the treatment process and recommend solutions to engineering problems;
  • Handle various chemicals and systems safely;
  • Perform instrumentation analysis and calibration and Jar testing;
  • Manage sludge treatment methods, technologies and processes.
  • Operate, troubleshoot and maintain air compressors, slurry pumps and chemical pumps of various types;
  • Commissioning of pneumatic systems and installation of various types of control valves and flow meters;
  • Write standard operating procedures, manuals and training materials, and be able to train the customer;
  • Lead on-site kick-off meetings with clients and managers;
  • Check the site layout to ensure it is compatible with the as-built drawings.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, electrical or industrial engineering or equivalent profile
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in an applied research laboratory in chemical processes
  • Good understanding of water treatment and wastewater treatment processes such as MBR, MBBR, Actiflo, Filters and pretreatment, for various applications such as municipal, industrial and mining treatment plants
  • Fluent in French (written and oral). Knowledge of English to occasionally communicate with clients outside Quebec.
  • Mastery of PLC and SCADA systems
  • Available to travel (between 65 and 70% of the time)
  • Construction site experience: have good practical knowledge of electricity, mechanics, hydraulics and control or enjoy developing them
  • Knowledge of Google environment software
  • Access to a vehicle and valid driving license
