Position Summary

Purpose

Plans and coordinate activities for subsea inspection services and prepare technical scopes of work in cooperation with the Onshore / Offshore Subsea Inspection Coordinators. Assist with subsea inspection work and data collection by ROV, Diving and Offshore High Resolution Geophysical and Hydrographic surveys.

Prepare inspection procedures, work drawings and data sheets as required by program owners in conjunction with the onshore / offshore subsea inspection coordinators.

Analysis of the collected data.

Reports reviews, e.g daily progress report, draft, and final inspection reports.

Assist in preparation of subsea repair and intervention work packages.

Duties And Responsibilities

Functions

  • Job preparation
  • Oversee and verify appropriate offshore data collection
  • Prepare inspection procedures and data sheets
  • Equipment preparation and logistics, and Testing
  • Maintains records for all tooling utilization / maintenance under his/ her supervision
  • Capture and execute lessons learned
  • Ensures all procedures are adhered to
  • Continued growth and development of inspection discipline

NON-ESSENTIAL
  • Keeps updated on the statutory and class requirements and standards

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities

Reporting Relationship

Subsea Inspection & Integrity Lead

Positioning reporting to Offshore coordinators, when offshore

Qualifications

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • Engineering or Science Major
  • English proficiency
  • MS Office

DESIRED
  • Subsea Inspection experience
  • 34U CWISP
  • Nexus, Marisoft, Coabis software
  • AutoCAD

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Ability to elaborate reports
  • Ensures that reporting is always done in a clear and understanding manner
  • Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within area of responsibility

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows
  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Outdoors and indoors, day and night shifts
  • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment
  • Potential exposure to open fire / flames / sparks
  • Constant exposure to airbone, dust, fumes and gases
  • Frequent humidity and noise
  • Work surface is stable
