At Eni, we are looking for a Corporate Health Manager & Project Health within Eni Iraq B.V. in Basra, Iraq. You will be managing the provision of health services for Eni Iraq. You will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive health management system. You will be creating and executing a health programme that encompasses all aspects of occupational health, medical support and community health, ensuring alignment with Eni NR standards, best practices and Iraqi legislation. Additionally, you will be advising and liaising with partners and subsidiaries to maintain the highest standards of health provision.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate the health activities within Eni Iraq.
- Coordinate and monitor the medical support, occupational health and health management system activities.
- Represent the company in relations with government and national and international organizations involved in the health social project.
- Manage all development phases of the health social project in the country.
- Monitor and follow up with all coordinators about the development of the health social project.
- Assess the sustainability of the medical activities delivered by the health project.
- Ensure liaison with medical centres and hospitals that are related to the health social project.
- Liaise and advise partners and subsidiaries regarding health standards and procedures at offices and fields.
- Ensure liaison with local medical centres and hospitals.
- Ensure participation in company HSE activities.
- Provide direct support in health matters to the HR & Organization Director and the Safety and Environment management representative of Eni Iraq.
- Ensure the identification and mitigation of health risks to employees, contractors and the communities where we work.
- Set standards for and monitor the provision of medical services to Eni Iraq and subsidiaries.
- Support production, exploration and development projects in relation to health matters.
- Coordinate medical emergency actions concerning Eni employees in Iraq.
- Maintain excellent relations with a wide range of stakeholders, including management, staff and dependents, HR and HSE, contractors, professional colleagues, authorities and community representatives.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Provide demonstrable added value to company activities by raising standards for health.
Skills and experience required:
- Proven competence and experience as the head of a health department in an industrial setting, preferably in the energy industry.
- Internationally recognized medical degree meeting the requirements for a doctor.
- Certification and registration in a primary care specialty (EU/US level or equivalent) with extensive post-certification experience in the industry.
- Certification and registration in occupational/public health or a related field (EU/US level or equivalent) is desirable.
- Thorough understanding of HSE management systems, with a vision of the importance of the health component and the ability to translate this vision into practical solutions.
- Sound knowledge of clinical health issues.
- Understanding and experience/affinity with public and community health as part of sustainable development.
- Health management audit experience.
- Extensive experience in managing medical emergency procedures and international medevac.
- Strong lead medical/health professional with broad expertise and experience in organizing and monitoring.
- Professional and personal stature to interface with, and influence, a wide variety of contacts, including management, staff, dependents, contractors, other health professionals, specialized centres and doctors, as well as stakeholders such as health authorities, NGOs, local communities and heads of medical services in international organizations, companies, governments.
- Ability to work effectively with HR, HSE, and other company and contractor staff.
- Effective communication skills within a multicultural setting.
- Must be trained in Health Risk Assessment, Medical Review Officer, ATLS, ACLS, and Managing in Health.
- Fluent in English (upper-intermediate level).
