At Eni, we are looking for a Lead Process Engineer within Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. in Aksai, Kazakhstan. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the process design and technical authority assurance for the Karachaganak field. This includes investigating process engineering issues within the field, preparing high-quality reports and cost-effective designs in a timely manner, verifying process design documents generated by contractors, and maintaining as-built piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), cause and effects, and line lists.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise a team of Process Engineers, liaising with Project Engineers and Managers as needed.
- Prioritize, plan, and assign team tasks to meet KPO schedules.
- Conduct investigations, surveys, feasibility studies, calculations, simulations, conceptual and detailed design, and produce key drawings and technical reports.
- Manage the progress and quality of process design from external institutes and engineering companies.
- Review and report progress to the Technical Authority Manager and Engineering and Technical Authority Manager.
- Supervise the checking and approval of work within and outside the Engineering and Technical Authority Department.
- Ensure compliance with design briefs, technical assignments, RoK codes, KPO, and international standards.
- Select cost-effective designs and materials, considering operating costs and equipment standardization.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning of new or modified plants.
- Support Project teams with technical expertise.
- Research and apply best practices for similar projects at the design stage.
- Maintain and update KPO engineering standards in line with industry improvements and requirements.
- Keep process documentation current to ensure safe operation of facilities.
- Provide Technical Authority assurance according to the Technical Authority Framework.
- Execute additional tasks as directed by management or supervisors.
Skills and experience required:
- Higher education (University degree or higher) in a relevant specialty with extensive work experience as a Process Engineer.
- Experience in onshore oil and gas upstream facilities.
- Solid knowledge of project and expenditure approvals, concept selection, FEED (Front End Engineering Design) studies, detailed design, follow-on engineering, and project closeout.
- Experience in process engineering for major onshore hydrocarbon plants.
- Proven knowledge of process safety in major onshore hydrocarbon plants.
- Proven knowledge of process and hydraulic simulation.
- Upper-intermediate level of English.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills.
