Position Specific Description
The position is located at our Turkey Point Fossil CWRC facility in Homestead, Florida
Job Summary: The successful candidate will have a strong safety leadership presence and have bias for action.
Instrument & controls and electrical maintenance experienced preferred. Experience in planning and executing daily maintenance on industrial water treatment plant equipment including, BNRs, Clarifiers, instruments, transmitters, and valves. The position requires troubleshooting and analyzing equipment performance deviations using DCS while ensuring the plants' I&E equipment is always in excellent operational condition and available for use. Experience preferred in managing projects within budget and identifying capital/O&M projects to forecast plants' future budget.
The Site Technician will support the Operations Leader to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. Site Technicians will perform duties in the following but are not limited to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on the water treatment plant systems, and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and undertake corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency.
- Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements.
- Utilize monitoring software and tools to regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies.
- Generate performance reports and maintain accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and procedures during maintenance activities and waste management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of O&M activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
