Senior Flow Assurance Engineer
Location: Stavanger
Contract Duration: ASAP - 31.10.2026


Key Responsibilities


Flow Assurance & Production Chemistry Input: Engage in downhole or DST sampling programs, providing flow assurance and production chemistry insights. Liaise with laboratories on the transfer, storage, and conditioning of fluid samples for testing wax, asphaltenes, emulsions, naphthenates, and scaling.

PVT Testing and Fluid Characterization: Participate in and follow up with the PVT lab regarding standard PVT tests. Ensure proper fluid characterization and provide necessary PVT inputs to project Basis of Design (BoD) documents.

Scope of Work Preparation: Prepare and submit detailed scopes of work for flow assurance-related studies to study contractors.

Collaboration and Interface: Provide technical inputs to in-house project leader teams during interface and status meetings. Contribute to license partners' meetings and work sessions.

Contractor Oversight: Monitor contractors' flow assurance work through regular status meetings, ensuring QA/QC is performed on supplied study results and OLGA models.

Decision Gate Document Preparation: Provide key flow assurance inputs for decision gate documents and actively participate in project assurance reviews.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Subsurface and Drilling departments to incorporate relevant subsurface data into flow assurance models.

OLGA Simulations: Conduct in-house OLGA simulations for early-phase projects as required. Ensure proper integration of modelling results into project planning and execution.


Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in flow assurance engineering within the oil and gas industry.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of flow assurance principles, including wax, asphaltenes, emulsions, naphthenates, scaling, and hydrate management.

Simulation Tools: Proficiency with OLGA simulation software and PVT analysis techniques.

Project Experience: Experience in working on multidisciplinary projects and providing input for Basis of Design documents.

Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data in a clear and concise manner.
