Well Engineer

Location: Remote.
Duration: 12 month renewable contract.
Start Date: ASAP

Overview

Are you a seasoned Well Engineer with specific CCS exposure, ideally European based for time-zone reasons? We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the Well Engineering discipline on a project, working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the legacy and existing wells to establish the risk to containment of CO2
  • Evaluate new CO2 injection and water production wells in terms of well/completion design, injectivity, and productivity
  • Conduct data screening, review, individual well assessments/barrier assessment, ranking/risking, and well design concepts

Qualifications

  • 15-20 years of experience with specific CCS exposure, ideally Europe based for time-zone reasons
  • Proven ability to lead the Well Engineering discipline on a project
  • Strong expertise in assessing well integrity and suitability of abandonment barriers
  • Excellent understanding of well/completion design, injectivity, and productivity
