The client is a leading EPCI and Engineering Services company based in Oslo, Norway, specializing in providing comprehensive engineering solutions for the oil & gas industry. With a proven track record in executing both brownfield and greenfield projects, the client is committed to delivering high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to their clients.

 

Job Overview:

The client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E&I Engineer or Senior E&I Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, engineering, and execution of electrical and instrumentation systems for various oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute detailed engineering design activities for electrical and instrumentation systems, including but not limited to specifications, calculations, layouts, and drawings.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design and implementation of E&I systems for both brownfield and greenfield projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive engineering solutions that meet project objectives and client expectations.
  • Participate in project planning, scope definition, and risk assessment activities to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct technical reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to identify potential issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including equipment datasheets, specifications, and procurement packages.
  • Support procurement activities by providing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals for E&I equipment and materials.
  • Perform site surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities as required to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure project compliance.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within the oil & gas industry, preferably with experience in EPCI projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical and instrumentation systems (e.g., IEC, NEC, API, NORSOK).
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, E3D, AutoCAD, and SmartPlant Instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Norwegian is advantageous.
  • Offshore certification and previous North Sea experience are desirable but not mandatory.
