CONTROL SYSTEM CONSULTANT Purpose of the Job:Provide expert consultation and guidance on control systems within designated operational areas.Offer specialized knowledge and support to optimize control system performance and efficiency.Collaborate closely with the OMS(R) section on all matters related to control systems design and architecture.Duties and Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing control systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and address challenges related to control systems.
- Offer expert advice on control system design, configuration, and implementation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement tailored control system strategies and solutions to meet specific operational needs.
- Stay informed about emerging control system technologies and trends, evaluating their potential for organizational benefit.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve staff understanding of control system concepts and best practices.
- Support the procurement process for control system projects, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and project oversight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of control system solutions with existing infrastructure and processes.
- Monitor and evaluate control system performance metrics, applying corrective actions when necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Document methodologies, recommendations, and project outcomes, providing detailed reports and presentations to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.) is preferred.
- Proven experience in control system consultancy, with a focus on expert advice and solution delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of control system principles, practices, and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consulting environment.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Experience:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in control system consultancy.
- Demonstrated success in delivering control system projects and initiatives.
- Experience with a wide range of control system platforms and technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in control system design and implementation.
Additional Requirements:- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel for on-site consultations.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate client needs.
