30156 - SENIOR ACCOUNTANT AND TAX COORDINATOR

At Eni, we are looking for a Senior Accountant and Tex coordinator within Versalis Singapore in Singapore. You will be responsible for full set of financial and cost accounting processes including GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Cost Accounting, Tax Accounting, Forex, and preparation of necessary accounting reclassifications and adjustments, for both Versalis Singapore and other managed Versalis/Eni entities of the APAC region.

Versalis Singapore, part of Eni Group, is a regional headquarters and service centre for primarily Versalis' producing and trading activities of petrochemical products in Asian Pacific. In addition to managing the finance activity of Versalis Singapore which has a turnover of US$60m/year, it also provides the extended services to other Eni group companies in the region for the upstream businesses. The Company is now in search of a capable, experienced and passionate candidate to be the Accounting Manager to manage its day-to-day accounting activity, periodical closing of books, tax filing, reporting to authorities as well as drawing up financial statements and handling statutory and internal audits.

As a member of the Accounting, Finance & Control (AFC) at Versalis Singapre you will be responsible for:
  • Managing interfaces with Material Management, Sales ledgers and inventories
  • Maintaining relevant master data in SAP to ensure they are accurate and up to date
  • Periodically review accounting data and transactions to ensure the integrity and correctness of the accounting data
  • Responsible for timely periodical closing and consolidation financial statements, payments, cash-flow and relevant reporting to the authorities and shareholders
  • Producing various accounting reports as required by the company, by head offices and by external authorities.
  • Prepare accurate and adequate information for management on a timely basis in compliance with Group financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring that all fiscal and legal matters pertaining to the accounting activities are complied with.
  • Participating in trade credit and banking relationships, perform bank reconciliations properly.
  • Preparing documentation and present it to the Government Bodies as necessary.
  • Ensuring the company is fully compliant with relevant tax regulations and timely file applicable tax returns and make tax payment, including but not limited to, VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax Return, Transfer Pricing and any other tax matters, in country and intra-countries.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Head office and other authorities as per internal and regulatory requirements, including the customs, fair trade committee, local governments, and financial authorities etc, through the required reporting platforms, online or offline.
  • Ensure Versalis Singapore and managed entities' accounting and the financial statements are in full compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements and meet relevant accounting standards. i.e. IFRS, guaranteeing sufficient and effective internal control procedures, including SOX and anti-corruption compliance where and when applicable.
  • Reviewing and updating such internal control procedures and improve finance and accounting processes in order to reflect changes in internal and external regulatory requirements and business activities
  • Be the focal point of statutory, tax and other internal or external audits related to finance and accounting, and provide justifications, supporting evidence and recommend to senior level of management related to such audits
  • Ensuring adherence to the Versalis/Eni's Code of Ethics, policies, guidelines, procedures and standards in any of the business activities that the Company and the entities will be involved in


This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Economics or Business Management or other relevant subjects;
  • CPA or similar experiences with proven records
  • Extensive experience in the field , first-hand experiences in similar role, preferably with good planning & control and compliance knowledge
  • Has independently completed a full set of annual financial statements for a company of with sales, marketing and production of multiple products including import and export activities.
  • Willingness to lead and work as a team are essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP, expertise, and analytical skills in managing huge volume of data using Excel
  • Good knowledge of English
