At Eni, We are looking for an Electrical Engineering team at EniProgetti UK in Basingstoke, UK. You will responsible for providing technical and organisational leadership to electrical engineering activities on a wide range of projects from studies and design, to troubleshooting, commissioning and decommissioning. You will be able to manage your time and those of project teams to effectively manage work activities, ensuring that the goals and requirements of the work are met and that issues are effectively communicated and resolved. You will ensure quality of work undertaken by yourself and others commensurate with the goal of the activity considering the constraints of time and budget, whilst demonstrating a 'can do' attitude to the team and to external customers and stakeholders. You will provide technical innovation and a keenness to move the Company forward in terms of continuous improvement, whilst fostering and developing innovative ideas in members of the team.

As a member of the engineering department at Eni Progetti you will be responsible for :
- Act as lead engineer on Company projects, studies etc.
- Undertake the competent engineering of electrical systems in accordance with specified procedures and plans.
- Where required, supervise the activities of design team to complete activities to the required technical standards and project schedule.
- Undertake short term visits to a wide range of operating site and Eni geographic regional offices worldwide.
- Coordinate and expedite discipline and multidiscipline interfaces for areas of responsibility.
- Prepare man-hour estimates and planning activities for proposals and projects as required.
- Critically review the suitability and accuracy of Eni technical standards and procedures and develop new ones as required.
- Be aware and evaluate the effect of new/modified legislation on plant design and performance
- Ensure all activities necessary to guarantee the design of a 'safe' plant are performed.
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- Significant experience of technical and team leadership within a project environment working in the Oil and Gas Industry either as a Contractor or Oil Company Personnel. Experience preferred in Upstream Engineering.
- Technically competent in all aspects of electrical engineering (Power Generation, Distribution, Transmission).
- Experience in Concept, Basic/FEED and Detail Engineering projects for Oil&Gas (on-shore and/or off-shore).
- Experience in development of power system studies and specifications (e.g. Load flow, short circuit, motor starting analysis); design of power distribution systems for electrical networks; electrical equipment specifications/datasheets for MCCs, MV and LV switchboards, asynchronous and synchronous generators, soft start units, VSDs, UPS systems, transformers, NER; schematics for switchboards, MCCs, generation systems and auxiliary equipment; substation, switch room and plant layout design; electrical surveys for O&G plants; preparation of requisitions for electrical equipment; technical appraisal of Vendor/EPICbids for electrical equipment/ scope.
- Fully conversant with IEC standards and other International electrical standards, best practices and value practices.
- Experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) and all Microsoft office applications
- Excellent knowledge of the English language is required in order to perform the necessary in depth analysis and studies, make technical presentations and keep up with technical advancement.
- Experience on design of Floating Units (desirable).
- Certified for working offshore (desirable).
- Working knowledge of ETAP (desirable).
- Working knowledge of Italian language (desirable).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree within the Electrical Engineering field or a BA in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering; MEng desirable.
- Member of a relevant Institution; Chartered Engineer desirable.
