Overview

Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization under the Downstream Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD).

ATSD is a multi-disciplinary organization that offers top-notch technical support to Saudi Aramco's and affiliates' refineries, NGL fractionation, and petrochemical plants inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the globe.

The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to lead the organization and support the portfolio facilities to achieve the highest level of reliability for plant equipment through a systematic approach and coordinated efforts. The Reliability Engineer will also administer a holistic system to benchmark, identify gaps and deploy comprehensive solutions to enhance asset reliability and continuous improvement. The Reliability Engineer will work jointly with subject matter experts and multidisciplinary teams. In addition, they are expected to coach and support the training and development of junior engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with organization management as well as with facilities management to drive reliability initiatives and programs systematically.
• Architect, build and drive strategies to enhance reliability in order to minimize downtime and increase availability and performance
• Promote and enhance reliability culture in the organization and portfolio facilities
• Have the ability to manage an initiative from the inception of the idea to the deployment of the full program
• Oversees a system that proactively identifies and addresses potential issues/ threats that could impact normal operation or equipment reliability
• Own the availability enhancement cycle ensuring that major reliability/ availability events are properly reported, tracked, investigated and measures are taken to avoid reoccurrence.
• Promote the organization reliability importance thru the organization and portfolio facilities
• Serve as a consultant to the different organization entities concerning reliability matters
• Communicates effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of reliability initiatives, related challenges as well as the roadmap for future programs.
• Ensures alignment and adherence to corporate standards, processes and guidelines.
• Collaborate with corporate entities on reliability initiatives and programs to ensure full alignment.
• Establish the reliability KPIs and related KPIs structure that different levels of the organization need to oversee
• Develops requirements, guidance, training, certifications and professional development opportunities for reliability and related fields
• Work with the different organizations and entities to develop digital solutions and tools concerning reliability and related analytics

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering. A Master/PhD degree in reliability is preferable.
• 15 years minimum experience (20+ preferable) in Reliability within the oil and gas industry.
• Have previous experience in managing and driving reliability projects
• Knowledge in the use of RCA/ Investigation software
• Black-belt Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership qualities and team building skills to drive and liaise with people at all levels.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• In-depth knowledge in change management and problem-solving techniques.
