As a Field Service Engineer, you will be working with the Water Technologies and Solutions (WTS) team. Your role is to safely provide commissioning and aftermarket support to a diverse and widespread group of industrial and municipal customers primarily focused on our Ozone and Ultraviolet (UV) product line, and a variety of specialized water treatment equipment.
What you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of Ozone generation and Ultraviolet light disinfection systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain Ozonia-installed disinfection systems.
- Ensure that equipment is installed and commissioned in accordance with the company's engineering guidelines, specifications, and safety guidelines to meet necessary functionality and performance requirements.
- Review project design scopes.
- Monitor field construction activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Prepare field detailed service reports documenting site activities.
- Provide technical support to the Project Management and engineering groups. Attend project meetings as required.
- Provide training to plant personnel on the proper use and maintenance of systems.
- Provide routine and emergency onsite maintenance of operational equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair medium frequency power supply units, motors and pumps, programmable logic controllers (PLC), system monitoring equipment and instrumentation.
What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):
- Associates Degree.
- At least 3 years of water treatment experience, including design, construction, and commissioning, preferably with experience in wastewater treatment systems.
- Ability to travel extensively (70%-80% of the year), within North America.
- Knowledge of Basic Electricity and Electronics, Instrumentation, Plumbing and piping experience as a field service technician.
- PLC/Controls experience.
- Ability to read and interpret contract P& ID drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to adapt to and manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Ability to gain and maintain access to customer sites.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
