Take ownership for the production of our products
The Electronics Assembly Operative will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of cutting edge subsea oil and gas equipment. You will focus on electronics, from soldering of components through to circuit testing and debugging. The role also presents an amazing opportunity to gain further qualifications in electronics and progress to at least Technician level.
As a Electronics Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Performing electronic assembly of circuit boards, wiring harnesses, connectors, chassis wiring assemblies.
- Conducting soldering of electronic components to IPC-A-610 specifications and SMT soldering.
- Performing continuity tests on completed assemblies.
- Prioritizing and assigning work based on production schedule.
- Maintaining production quality and health and safety standards whilst completing tasks
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have either a HNC/D in electronics or have completed and Electronics engineering based apprenticeship
- Have experience of soldering electronic components - IPC-610 would be helpful, but not essential.
- Have some experience in reading and interpreting Electronic Circuit Diagrams and have basic circuit theory knowledge
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to be a valuable team player
- Show a basic understanding of IT such as MS Office and a desire to learn new software
