Project Engineer

General:
The project engineer will assist the project manager by providing technical expertise toward development, design, and execution of capital projects. The project portfolio mainly consists of projects from $1MM-$20MM in size, from early-phase project development through project closeout.

Job Duties:
-Lead interface with EPC contractors on all technical aspects of project
-Manage internal drawing reviews for engineered equipment
-Coordinate with internal technical experts to address questions and issues during project design
-Ensure that EPC contractor design and specifications comply with internal requirements
-Develop project authorization packages to be presented to internal management
-Review project cost estimates and schedules
-Provide technical expediting support to procurement personnel to ensure that equipment is meeting schedule requirements
-Coordinate shop inspection requirements for engineered equipment and field technical questions from inspection team
-Assist project manager with bid package development for engineering services, engineered equipment, and construction services
-Interface with construction teams to answer RFIs or coordinate EPC involvement in construction phase
-Review construction plans and assist construction team with progress tracking system setup
