Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions is currently searching for an Application Engineer to join our Food and Beverage Applications/Process Team in North America (NAM). This team focuses on applications within the Food and Beverage industry in NAM. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for design of ingredient water and wastewater treatment systems utilizing, Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, Membrane Bioreactors, Electro-deionization, as well as other unit operations, and preparing budgetary and final proposals. In addition, Application Engineering is responsible to assist in seeing awarded projects through execution and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Engineering support in an assigned region and maintain a working knowledge of projects, including generating "Final Bid" proposals, process designs, Process & Instrumentation and General Arrangement Drawings.
- Generate budgetary proposals, process designs, Piping and Instrumentation Designs, General Arrangements.
- Apply costing and process design strategies to position the company, in the early stages of project development, to increase the probability of success.
- Timely preparation of budgetary proposals
- Develop and maintain relationships with Regional Sales Managers and Local Representatives as well as Customers. Assisting Region Sales Managers with sales calls, design kick-off meetings, and consultants
- Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, Order Packages, and forecasting
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor's or equivalent 4-year degree in engineering or science related field
- Self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities
- Demonstrated dedication to safety
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
Useful skills or abilities- Experience in water & wastewater engineering or equipment supply field, preferably with some knowledge of membrane process equipment.
- Experience in bidding/proposal preparation and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specification, both from a technical and commercial
