Our workforce, like our technology, is rapidly expanding and looking for a qualified Operations Supervisor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor oversees a proactive, motivated team accountable for safe, timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of the mud motor product line.
General
• Ensure compliance with policy and procedures (R&M, HSE, Quality, HR).
Health Safety and Environment
• Keep the maintenance facility in a safe, clean, and orderly manner at all times.
• Ensure personnel safely and efficiently utilize proper tooling to execute tool maintenance.
• Participate in safety audits and corrective actions.
• Outline plant equipment maintenance program (cranes, torque machine, compressor etc.).
Repair and Maintenance
• Ensure uptime / accountability of mud motor assets and subcomponents.
• Oversee asset maintenance scheduling.
• Liaise with Operations / Logistics to ensure job load outs comply with Operations Tool Requests.
o Address all tool request shortages with Operations / Logistics in a timely manner.
o Source and return third party tools as required in a timely manner.
• Assure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements within the employee job scope.
• Ensure all tools / inventory is maintained in compliance with maintenance and quality manuals / procedures.
o Ensure accurate and timely input for data base / documentation requirements.
o Accurately report inventory consumption.
? Ensure proper approvals obtained for scrapped materials.
• Optimize workflow / plant layout efficiency.
• Optimize tooling and test equipment requirements, implement redundancy where required.
• Identify 3rd party repair requirements and execute as required.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities, analyze feasibility, and implement.
• Liaise with buyer planner / inventory personnel.
o Ensure optimum inventory levels.
o Address current and foreseeable inventory shortages, flag components with unacceptable lead times.
• Assist with physical asset / inventory counts.
• Other duties as assigned.
Quality / Reliability
• Reduce service / maintenance related incidents / failures by liaising with management, quality, and reliability personnel:
o Participate in Service Quality process:
? Analyze incidents / failures to identify root cause.
? Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions for incidents / failures.
? Present monthly service quality reviews to maintenance team.
• Actively develop quality culture.
o Ensure compliance with quality management system.
• Ensure utilization of proper measuring equipment for each function.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure up to date revisions of manuals.
• Liaise with vendors / management to identify technology enhancements and feasibility of implementation.
Personnel
• Ensure employees function in a professional manner.
• Ensure technician competency.
• Actively participate in technician work scheduling, performance contracts, reviews, and development plans.
• Outline scheduling to ensure 24-hour plant coverage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Mechanical Technology diploma preferred; 2nd year mill wright, vehicle mechanic or equivalent acceptable with minimum five years related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Supervisor experience.
• Previous industry related experience favorable.
• Maintenance scheduling, cost control, inventory control.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
• Ability to lead personnel in a dynamic, demanding environment.
• Mechanical aptitude essential.
o Ability to understand mechanical functionality of drilling tools.
o Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Communication with internal and external teams such as: HSE, Operations, Reliability, Quality, Accounting, Vendors, and some interaction with clients may be required.
• After hours as required to ensure effective delivery of motor product line to operations.
• Maintain an on-call status.
